Philippe Bheotta began his career as an instrumentalist and composer during the 1970s in Paris. He is a member of Laurent Cugny’s Lumière Big Band and of the German-French Jazz Ensemble directed by Albert Mangelsdorff. He won first prize for a soloist at the Festival de la Défense with the group Orient Express and accompanied the singer Sharon Evans on her album Time to Live. He has produced numerous albums and musical compositions for Turkish, central-European and Arabic-Andalusian theatre. He is a founding member of a number of musical ensembles, a member of national and regional councils, is often invited to perform at various festivals and concerts.
