The New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony was formed by Maestro Kenneth Klein and Henryk Szerying, in 1982. At its founding, it was principally composed of musicians from the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Since its formation, the Virtuosi has gained a considerable reputation for performing American premieres and also for fulfilling an important educational role in the New York City metropolitan area. Conductor and Music Director Kenneth Klein is the recipient of two ASCAP awards for his work to promote American music.
